Coach Eddie Deitch's basketball team did not make many records for winning games this year, but probably make a world's record for playing exciting games. A team composed of mostly underclassmen, with only Captain Dick Matthews, Skippy Miller, Tom Sanna, and Ron Boris being seniors, made up for their lack of height and experience with hard and aggressive playing.

   From this year's varsity team, Bill Umberger, Jimmy Whitaker, Bill Heinbach, Vince Schuster, Ron Heckman, all gained valuable experience which should make next year's team one of the best.

   Coach Dimmerling of the Junior Varsity Squad developed another good team, reaching down into the freshman Class to give boys an opportunity to play today, so they may be stars tomorrow.
