JV Coach/Assistant Varsity Coach
Tom McGeoy will begin his 12th year as the Head Junior Varsity Coach. During that span, his team’s overall record
has been very impressive, Along with heading the JV team, Coach McGeoy is also an assistant coach with the varsity and
is the program’s video coordinator. Coach McGeoy also is the Crimson Tide Varsity Head Football Coach. He
just finished his 4th season in that capacity.
Prior to coaching, Coach McGeoy enjoyed a stellar
career as an athlete at Pottsville and Lehigh University. In basketball, McGeoy played three years, lettering each season
for the Crimson Tide. He was captain of his team for two years. As a senior, he was named first-team All-Area, first-team
All-Anthracite and a Schuylkill County All-Star after leading the Crimson Tide to the 2000 Schuylkill League title.
A fullback and linebacker for the football team, McGeoy lettered three times. He was awarded 1998 first-team All-Area
and first-team All-Anthracite. In 1999 he was awarded first-team All-Area, Republican-Herald Defensive Player of the Year,
first-team All-Anthracite and third-team Associated Press Big School All-State. Additionally, he was nominated for the Big
33 game and was the 2000 Schuylkill Chapter No. 25 Scholar-Athlete. Coach McGeoy went on to star at linebacker at Lehigh
University.
Coach McGeoy is currently a Social Studies teacher at Pottsville Area
High School. He and his wife Renee reside in Port Carbon with their children Ryan, Mya, and Macy.
