The Varsity basketball team, coached by Mr. Ken Kline, compilied a winning record of 13 wins and 9 losses for the year. This season the "Tide" had a change in surroundings by playing in the new D.H.H. Lengel Gym.

   The team opened the 1970-1971 season against Pine Grove, defeating them by a score of 106-53. The team completed the first half with a record of 4-6, but made a speedy comeback in the second half with a record of 9-3.

   The J.V. team, coached by Mr. Jack Keating, had a final record of 10-12. Even though it wasn't a winning season, they are improving rapidly, and Mr. Kline can look forward to a good season next year.
