The Pottsville High School basketball team of 1935-1936 rode on the wings of fate. Losing most of its games by close scores, the Crimson and White lads tied with Easton for the "cellar" in the Eastern League Conference. The outstanding feature of the team was its accurate passing; the worst feature was its inconsistent shooting. However, a brilliant ray of light in an otherwise "foggy" season was the fact that "Heb" Wagner emerged with the highest scoring honors in the Eastern Conference division, his total being 134 points. They ended the year with 10 wins and 12 losses.
