The 1957-1958 basketball team began the season "with a bang" by winning their eight non-league games. When they finally faced the tough East Penn League, the team was halted by the height and experience of the veteran East Penn Teams. Although the record for the season was nine wins and twelve losses, every game was hard fought and very exciting: and much credit is due Coach Miller and his capable aides, Mr. Dimmerling and Mr. Brady, for the fine showing made by the team. Frank Prestileo was chosen for the North-South All-Star team. Jake Devitt was chosen for the North-South All-Star game and was voted "Most Valuable Player". Tony Roland and Bob Witcoski were the other seniors whose presence was felt in every game. On next year's team, our seniors will be greatly missed.
